Each season, the Kingston Symphony Volunteers provide awards to recognize and encourage the development of excellence in young performers who are studying symphony orchestra instruments and living in Kingston and the surrounding region. These awards include various cash prizes totaling $4,500! Now is the time to start preparing for this year's edition and submitting your application form for the competition this Spring. The live competition will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

Applicants must be 5 to 18 years of age and residents of Kingston or the surrounding community (a radius of up to 85 km). Applicants must be registered in an elementary or high school, private school, or home-schooled, and play an orchestral instrument. Piano is included. Post-secondary music students are not eligible to apply. Applicants may only apply on one instrument. Previous recipients of the full or partial Allan-Jack Memorial Award are not eligible to apply.

To apply for the 2024-2025 Music Awards, fill out the Music Awards Application Form (2024-2025) and email it as an attachment to volunteers@kingstonsymphony.ca. The deadline for applications is Friday, March 7, 2025.
