As a string orchestra we play instruments of the violin family, which were invented in northern Italy around the mid-1500s. Like the smart phone now, the violin caught on fast and has been popular ever since. Let’s take a trip through string music history by looking at music written in the decade of the
60s in each century since then. It should be quite a tour!
