Kingston Choral Society
After 70 years of continuous operations, the Kingston Choral Society occupies a special place in the Kingston music scene. Artistic Director Ian Juby has led the choir for over 20 years, and has moved the scope of the repertoire beyond the choral masterworks and extended classics which have been the group's mainstay. Recent programs over the past few seasons have showcased works by living composers from Canada and around the world including Ola Gjeilo, Eric Whitacre, Daniel Elder, and a world premiere of a commissioned work by Juno nominated jazz pianist Marianne Trudel. Kingston Choral Society continues to embrace the splendour and grandeur of the great classics, with performances of audience favourites played to a full house.

Auditions and Rehearsals
Kingston Choral Society invites interested singers to audition for a place in the choir in the 2026-2027 season. Some choral experience and the ability to follow a score will be considered an asset. Choristers are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances during the season, and to spend time working on repertoire between rehearsals.
