Enjoy the timeless classics of Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet, Jacques Brel, and others performed by award-winning Canadian songstress Jill Barber and your Kingston Symphony. In Under Paris Skies, Jill brings her special affinity for French chansons and her warm contralto voice to such hits as La Vie En Rose, C’est Si Bon, and La Mer. The evening also features musical love letters to the City of Lights by Count Basie, Nat King Cole, Eartha Kitt, and more.

Before the Downbeat

Before the Downbeat involves a number of initiatives designed to enhance the concert experience for our audience by providing in-depth knowledge about the program of music that will be performed at our concerts. Initiatives include pre-concert talks and interviews with our Music Director and musicians.

Meet the Music

Meet the Music, a pre-concert talk hosted by our Music Director, Evan Mitchell, will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Isabel in the Recital Hall on Sunday, November 21, 2026. The focus will be on the repertoire to be performed at our Bruckner Festival concert. We hope it will provide more insight into the program for this concert. Admission is free with a concert ticket and seating is first come, first served.

Classical Countdown

Maestro Evan Mitchell has just 45 seconds to convince you to come to the next Kingston Symphony concert.
